The true glow-up is becoming the best version of you possible.
And one of the quickest ways to glow up is showing up for yourself daily, and prioritizing what you really need.
Too often as women, we put the needs and wants of others before our own, the demands of our jobs over our health and we’re left with no energy or clear sanity for our own self-care.
You must fight to create a space for yourself ladies.
As I share with you some of the best ways to take better care of yourself … remember, it means nothing if you don’t take the time to implement them.
So save this post, download my FREE self-care checklist, and make a commitment to yourself to see your most vibrant glow up yet. Let’s dive in.
1. Get Pretty and Stay Pretty
I can describe this step in one word … Slay. There is such a boost of confidence a woman has who actually loves what she sees in the mirror.
When every day is a special occasion instead of just dolling up here and there you will feel the difference.
Caring about your appearance does not make you vain.
The truth is, looking good makes you feel good, and having a routine for looking good, makes the world bend in your favor.
Have a set schedule for your nails to be done, including pedicures, eyebrows, hair, and a solid routine for your skin.
If all else fails, if these 4 things are on point, skin, nails, eyebrows, and hair, no matter what life throws at you you’ll be prepared.
But don’t sleep on the inner work. Here’s your Powerful 10 Step Solution for Common Feelings of Inadequacy as a Woman to Stop Unhealthy Comparison and Perfection.
2. Normalize Alone Time
Picasso, one of the greatest and most well-known painters that ever lived once said ‘without solitude, no great work is possible’ and I totally agree.
Your life is your work of art, your masterpiece. And you need time alone for true growth. For the birth of your creativity.
For ideas to turn into business plans, for your vision boards to turn into reality, and most importantly, for healing.
At least once a week make space in your life where it’s just you and your reflection.
Where you can pull down the facade and just exhale, where you can see yourself as yourself and not through the lens and opinions of others.

3. Read
Read personal development books. Reading truly does expand your mind and allows you to see the different possibilities available to you in life.
It makes you feel smarter and you feel great about yourself because you’re constantly learning how to better navigate this tricky terrain called life.
If you’ve been out of the reading game for a while, start with shorter books, 200 pages or less, or try audible books altogether. The most important thing is that you just start.
Reading is essential to the inner glow-up.
4. Hold On To Some Good Girlfriends
We’re social creatures and we all have a need to be loved and accepted. Trust me when I say good friends can be hard to find.
Friends that can actually have disagreements or arguments but still come back and apologize and become even closer.
My advice, if you already have good friends, nurture those relationships and hold on tight. If not, look into making some whether through a hobby, your job, or even an acquaintance.
For an extra layer of protection, just say a short prayer… that the Creator will send friends into your life that will love you and make you better. While taking away those who want to hurt you and have ill intentions toward you.
5. Eat to Live
One of the essential ways to take care of yourself is to give your body the nutrients it needs to survive and function at its highest capacity.
If you are what you eat, what are you tryna be? Love yourself enough to make the difficult choices.
Your food can either be the most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. You choose.
6. Master Your Health
One of the keys I’ve learned over the years is to don’t allow things to linger.
If you have something that’s not going away like pain, a lump, or a cough, go get it checked out. Don’t wait.
If your doctor tells you to get something done and your spirit is not at rest, please get a second or third opinion but don’t just brush it off.
In addition, taking care of your health also means exercising (the forbidden word to some) and seeking out ways to live a more harmonious life with less stress and ease.

7. V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N.
Saturate your life with wild, deep, and satisfying experiences.
Stop saying you can’t go, and start making plans to go.
Don’t let money, time, a job that can replace you tomorrow, or COVID, or fear stop you from going.
Prioritize having new experiences every year. Create a list of what you want to experience over the next 5 years (that aren’t promised by the way) and start making a plan to bring it to fruition.
8. Work On Your Dream
You need something bigger than you to work on. You need something so big that you can’t imagine how it will get done but forces you to have blind faith in the Creator and yourself.
We all need to have something greater to strive for, some form of goal because without it we get distracted and depressed.
We get captivated by our past, instead of our future, we stop growing, and at that point there is death.
So think about the legacy you want to leave, think about the change that you were created to bring into this world, and get started.
