Find out how to level up with these 10 life tips. Create your world instead of being a victim of your environment and circumstances. Identify your own values that can lead you to live an incredible life.
Success is built from within. No matter what goal you’re trying to accomplish, you must have the proper tools to enable you to win. You must have the right mindset that will yield to the right actions that will translate into the right habits that will secure your success.
Whether you’re trying to advance in your career, your education, your relationships, or your health, these 10 life tips will help you get there. Not only will they help you get there, but make the transition a smooth one, allowing you to enjoy the process as you go.
1. Accountability
Have accountability over your life and decisions. Your life is a product of your continuous decisions whether good, bad, or indifferent. Be proactive, don’t wait for success or blame the diversion of your success on anyone or anything. You are the captain of your life, you steer it and determine how fast it goes and where it stops.
2. Maintain Your Physical Health
Do this through eating nutritious foods and always making time to engage in physical fitness. The Creator has blessed us with one body, and one body only. Respect the temple, love the temple, and take care of the temple. Don’t ever get too busy to where you neglect yourself.
Make your health a major priority. When you look and feel good this will only boost your confidence and be an important contribution to your success especially when you engage with people.
3. Value Humanity
People are the most important thing in the world. No matter what you do, be aware of how you talk to and treat people. You should have respect for every human being, not only because it’s the right thing to do, but because people will also notice and remember how you make them feel.
Life is about people, just imagine if you had no family and no friends. Now imagine if it was JUST YOU on this earth. I bet after a few days you would be grateful for even the most annoying, most pesky person out there. So cherish people, both big and small, old and young.
Your kindness will always come back to you, and if karma misses you, I’m sure it will be waiting for your children. What you do, not only affects your life but those that are around you.
4. Maintain Your Relationship With The Creator
This is my favorite one. God can truly take you places, open doors, and give you great opportunities while depositing wisdom in your heart and mind. You must however speak, let The Creator know what you want in life, and listen for the response.
You must be consistent and have faith which is not always an easy thing to do, but it is rewarding. Don’t expect The Creator to invest in something you haven’t invested in. Don’t ask for an increase in an area of life that you have shown you can’t properly manage.
You want a house, but you can’t take care of the apartment that you’re in. You want more money, but you can’t balance a budget or pay your bills on time.
God wants to bless you, but he also wants to make sure you can withstand the blessing. That His resources will be managed and utilized properly not only to bless you but for the advancement of His Kingdom.
God’s primary measure of success is management. If you can’t manage God’s resources, He takes them from you. Management will always attract God’s resources. This is why most people fail, because management attracts resources.
Dr. Myles Munroe
5. Maintain Relationship With Family
We all know tomorrow is not promised. So why do we still act and behave as it is? Our families are not going to be with us forever and we truly do not know when our time will be up. Let your loved ones be high on your priorities no matter what you’re trying to accomplish in life.
Make time for your family and friends. They have made many sacrifices for you on your journey, and vice versa. Maintain your relationships, and give them their roses while they are still walking the earth.
Don’t have regrets when they’re on their deathbed or actively dying. Show up now. Answer their calls now. Extend patience to them now. No matter how hard it is.
6. Be Honest
Being honest goes a long way. Not only will you not have to remember any lies, your conscience and your heart will be clear of any wrongdoings. What comes out of your mouth shapes what people will think of you.
You want people to paint a good picture when they imagine you or when your name happens to come up. Your word is truly your bond and is who you really are.
7. The Follow Through
Do whatever you said you were gonna do when you said you were gonna do it. This is a big one, and this is one I had a problem with myself. Don’t over-obligate yourself and don’t set unrealistic goals. Doing this can deteriorate your self-image and weaken your confidence. Be a woman of your word. Be careful when you speak and only commit to what you believe and know you will follow through on.
8. Don’t Worry About They, Do You
Focus on your goals, focus on your family, and focus on self-improvement. Don’t get caught up in what other people are saying about you or try to imitate what others are doing. You are a unique creation all by yourself.
The Creator has given each of us talents and gifts so that we can operate at an optimal level within our own capacities. Each one of our natural abilities lines up with our God-given purpose, so there’s no room for anyone to compete with you. Strive to be the best version of yourself and kill the noise.
Don’t ever give someone the power over you to stoop to their level or match their unkindness with anger or unkind words. We are made in the image and likeness of The Creator. The Creator doesn’t do tit for tat. DON’T REACT BUT ACT.
How you act shows your character. Those who have the time and boldness to put other people down are obviously not involved in anything that is bigger than themselves and have endless time to project their negative energy on others.
Thought Leaders, Creators, Agents of Change, Artists, and Those interested in creating and shaping a better world understand how important humanity is. They are not going to put people down but instead lift them up. Those are the voices that matter, the ones who want to create positive change by serving their gift to the world.
Those who truly love God, love people. End of story.
When they go low, we go high.
Michelle Obama
9. Seek Challenges & Failures
All the greats, whether scientists, actors, musicians, or athletes, have all tried at something, their craft, and have failed. Failure leads to growth. Continuous growth leads to success; it leads to self-improvement and progression.
It leads to innovation and creation. Failure challenges the mind. Don’t run away from challenges and don’t run away from change, that will only make you stagnant. Always seek to do more and to learn more.
Never be satisfied with what life is currently offering you, never stop living, and always say yes to dessert. Many people die before their true death, they just cruise on autopilot. Embrace life as it comes, good, bad, and indifferent. Be bold, and don’t be afraid to hear no.
I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.
Michael Jordan
10. Be Disciplined
When you start anything, finish it. Quitting soon becomes a habit. Your diligence is a major determinant of how successful you are, and hard work pays off. Be committed to the things that matter. Don’t take your time on this earth lightly. None of us are marked with an expiration date, so let’s stop living like we are.
Focus on the things that matter. Whatever you need to be disciplined in, always think about the long-term goal. Line your disciplines up with your values then identify your motivating factor.
It’s not enough to know, you must do. Review these 10 tips frequently while implementing as many as you can. Let’s see a different you this year. Let’s see progress. Let’s see greatness.
Until Next Time With Love,
