Seconds turn to minutes. Minutes to hours. And hours to an Intentional Delay and Waste of Time. Be determined to stop overthinking now.

Learn how to save time, maximize your peace, and boost your productivity by targeting these 3 habits you do blindly.

Rest assured knowing you have the authority to control your mind, your future, and to stop overthinking for good.

Our minds are overwhelmed with such negative and destructive thoughts that it has become second nature to us, and part of our subconscious minds to worry, be fearful, anxious, and even worse, depressed.

Alternatively, you can control your racing thoughts. It is possible that you can control your emotions, stop overthinking, and live a life filled with peace and personal freedom.

You have everything you need to succeed already within you, but you can’t play small.

Furthermore, you can’t relinquish your power for acceptance or conformity which most of us do.

I’m gonna share with you a few simple and easy ways to take back your mind and regain control to stop overthinking for good.

Everything that you are and anything that you ever hope to be is greatly shaped by your mind.

I’m talking about 3 things you need to totally stop doing now to transform your life and your thinking.

3 habits that steal your time, your peace, and your productivity.

Habits that I know from experience build up anxiety, worry, and fear, while stealing happiness, forcing you to live outside of life’s current moment, missing the true experience of living.

No longer will you give up the fight to control your mind, but you will press towards making your mind serve you and what you want to accomplish and be in this world.

So take notes, and let’s explore the 3 things you must do to stop overthinking and regain control of your mind . . .

how to stop overthinking for good

1. Stop Fixing the Past

Should’ve . . .

Would’ve . . .

Could’ve . . .

But you didn’t . . .

And I’m here to tell you, it’s okay.

Without a doubt, it’s hard when you have an expectation of yourself and you feel like you didn’t meet that expectation in a certain situation or event.

As a result, you replay the scenario and try to interject what you could’ve done or said differently.

Then, you go over in your head what others may have thought or how they could have reacted differently if you performed better or said the “right” things.

I’m here to tell you Stop Wasting Your Time.

You can only give your best based on your knowledge, understanding, and experiences at any given moment.

Similarly, interjecting your “redo moments” into something that already happened over and over is allowing you to waste precious time and productivity.

Not to mention driving you crazy.

Reflect, yes. But don’t beat yourself up over not being who you could’ve been at that moment when you will forever be in the growing phase of life.

You should always have a vision of yourself that transcends your reality and strive to reach there. This is what growth is.

“ . . . freedom is tightly bound to the human desire for ascension – our natural drive to rise from our circumstances and actualize our goals, our potential, our highest self.”

An essential part of personal growth and development is the maximizing and essential use of your time. Read the 6 Easy Ways to Stop Wasting Your Time to make the most of your days and help you stop overthinking for good.

Overview:

  • Stop reliving the past wishing you were the superhero.

  • Make the most of now to manifest the potential that’s within you to become the best version of yourself.

Task:

  • Assess why you’re habitually thinking about the past. One of the most basic needs as a human is significance and the longing to feel important. Whoever denies that is a long way from reality.
  • Be aware of these thoughts and replace them with another. As gifted as you are, you can only have one thought at a time.
  • Shift your thinking to NOW. To the goals you’re reaching forward to, to the projects you’re working on. Literally, replace your negative images and thoughts.
  • Understand your significance and approval comes from The Creator.

2. Neglect Perfectionism

I’m not sure who exactly passed the memo around that we have to present a perfect being to the world in order to be accepted, but this is the reality of what many people believe.

Social media has allowed imperfect individuals to portray perfect lives filtering and revealing only the good times of life.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news . . .

No one is perfect including you.

Life should be approached as an ongoing love affair with self-growth as you bring to fruition the seeds of greatness within you.

Don’t be blinded by the unwavering desire to be liked and accepted so much by people who are desperately desiring to be seen as worthy just as you are.

Don’t let your own cowardliness defeat you to where you can’t fully express yourself, your true being, your thoughts, ideas, and opinions.

Overview:

  • Have compassion for yourself.
  • No one is perfect.
  •  Once you have compassion, have the courage to DO YOU

Task:

  • Identify 3 reasons why what people think and say about you doesn’t matter. It may go a little something like this:
  1. They don’t pay my bills.
  2. People are looking for the same validation and belonging as I am.
  3. What The Creator says about me is a way better representation of who I am.
  • Ask yourself how much of your light are you truly dimming just to fit in. And is it worth it?

Perfectionism is conformity. The Creator doesn’t want you to be like anyone else because you have a designated purpose that is separate, unique, and your own.

Only you can bring a certain fire and a certain juice to whatever mission he has for you to complete.

No matter how much you practice, there will always be room for improvement.

Stop overthinking and comparing yourself to others. The best measure of growth is to compare the you of today, and the vision of you The Creator plants in your heart.

3. Stop Rehearsing Your Future

Yes, those who fail to plan, plan to fail. But at some point the plans you make, and the goals you draft have to be implemented and carried out.

Daydreaming about your big day, accomplishing your goals, finally owning your dream house, finally getting married, all these are great things to meditate on.

But beware of the time that passes while you’re dreaming. Stop overthinking and over-complicating the vision, and ACT.

See the vision. But live in the present. Live in knowing the time for preparation is now.

The time to prepare yourself to withstand the blessings coming your way is now.

What you’re gonna wear, what you’re gonna say, how it’s going to feel, are all good things to consider when you’re thinking about your future and the events that will accrue as you grow.

But do not overlook the investment of today.

Think about . . .

  • How much patience will you have?
  • How will your heart posture be?
  • What will your character and integrity look like?
  • How far will you have gone in self-mastery?

Refocus on your present and the now to make the necessary adjustments that may be needed for where you’re going to make your dreams a reality.

Overview:

  • Dream big, but don’t neglect the Hustle.
  • You can stop the rehearsal and close the curtain because the time for living is now.

Task:

  • Assess: How much time do you spend daydreaming about how your life could be?
  • How much time do you spend living your life through others, watching from the sidelines, envious of the same greatness that is within you that has yet to be developed?
  • Commit to working harder to fuel your dreams.
  • Break free from the lie you tell yourself that you can have it all without giving anything.

In order to truly gain personal freedom and be the designer of your life you must let go of comfort, safety, and security.

You have to stop dreaming and make discipline your friend.

Wrapping it up

Don’t just be a mere reflection of society. Be you. The purest form of you.

What I call your inner savage, who doesn’t care what people think and refuses to be oppressed by society’s definition of normal.

Not without empathy or compassion, but without apologies for being who The Creator called and formed.

Without the apologies of being imperfect, while approaching life with all you have and know at this present moment.

“If you’re always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be.”

Maya Angelou
